Have you ever seen spinach this large? Actually this is a medium sized leaf relative to the rest of these gorgeous greens I picked up from my friend Chris at White Barn Farm yesterday – that is my hand you cannot see behind there. I swear there are some as large as my head. And they’re delicious – still as tender as the day they were born…I had some in a salad yesterday for lunch.
Where can you get said special splendid substantial spinach, along with kale, chard, and the last of the roots? Glad you asked. I got roped into doing another spring market today at the library from 1-5pm so that we’d have some veggies to balance out the sweets. I really should be out in the fields prepping for the season, but one can only scoop compost for so long anyway. Hope to see you there!
