$3.00 / each
Gorgeous heads from the tunnel. Decent sized and getting bigger.
Rutabaga~ $3.50 / each
I missed my rutabaga seeding window this season, so these are from the rock star farmers at Tangerini’s Farm. For a real treat on a cool fall night, chop into smallish pieces and roast until golden brown along with your other favorite roots. Rutabaga fries are devoured by our little ones, and even preferred to potato fries by this farmer.
Fried Green Tomatoes$2.50 / lb
Well, actually you need to do the frying. Unripe green tomatoes, an end of season treat…get them while they last!
Butternut Squash~ $4.50 / each
Fall = butternut squash season. Stock up! We did. Our butternut was a victim of the drought – I mowed the plants down long ago so so I stocked up from our friends at Tangerini’s Farm. Paddy Rose and I ate lunch while we were there (they have a school too!), and had a butternut squash flat bread with leeks and apples (and plenty of cheese) that was AMAZING!
