Baby Beets (bunch)

Bunches of itty bitty beets. We tried a VERY late planting just to see what would happen. They look great but never sized up. Still – they’re a delicacy…no need to cut (halve if you must) or peel, just scrub, roast and serve! I left them in for an hour at 400. Candy sweet!

    Fall = butternut squash season. Stock up! We did. Our butternut was a victim of the drought – I mowed the plants down long ago so so I stocked up from our friends at Tangerini’s Farm. Paddy Rose and I ate lunch while we were there (they have a school too!), and had a butternut squash flat bread with leeks and apples (and plenty of cheese) that was AMAZING!

    Sweet fall orange carrots organically grown (not certified) by our friends at Tangerini’s Farm in Ashland. We have baby carrots still out in the field that hopefully will still size up, but until then these will more than do!
