The Market

  • Eggs, 18 pack

$11.00 / each Only 2 left in stock

Best eggs around – pastured and organically fed, you’ll taste the difference. Mix of blue, pink and all shades of brown eggs. I’m running low on dozen containers, but have enough 18 packs to build a house of out.

  • Garlic

    $1.50 / each

Potter Hill grown garlic – delicious! “The bee’s knees” according to one happy customer.

  • Garlic, Seed

    $2.50 / each

Seed garlic (our biggest bulbs) are dried and ready to plant, though I’d wait at least until October to do so. We plant ours mid-November, weather permitting! Each bulb will have ~7 cloves that you separate and plant and you’ll have 7 bulbs the next year.

  • Herbs, basil

    $2.75 / bunch

Grab yourself some garlic and it’s pesto time! Loads to share.

  • Herbs, cilantro

    $2.75 / bunch In stock

Fresh cilantro, great in curries and salsa. Our favorite thing to do with cilantro lately is making cilantro pesto to go with tacos and burritos. The garlic scapes would be perfect for a cilantro pesto too!

  • Fresh, fragrant dill. Feta, radish, dill quiche. Try it, seriously. Paddy Rose’s “favorite quiche” – she can hook you up with the recipe. So good!

  • Great in curries, soups, and stir fries or pair with fish. Or make yourself a nice drink with it! A lovely smell and the taste is just as nice.

  • Herbs, shiso

    $2.75 / bunch

Described as the Japanese basil (used in everything), I’m excited to try this herb. According to the seed catalog, it has a “cinnamon/clove flavor and aroma, with the spiciness of cumin”. Shiso pesto is on my to do list!

  • Cinnamon/clove flavor with hints of anise. Great in any stir fry!

  • Sweet little treats. I’ve been told these delicious golden berries taste like pineapple, orange juice concentrate (wasn’t a compliment), and Kix cereal. Some people love them, others not so much. Paddy Rose will eat an entire 5 gallon bucket if left alone with them!

  • Kale

    $3.75 / bunch

Will beat the pants off any old kale you find at the grocery store.  Bunches may be either green stemmed Vates or red stemmed Red Russian.  We’ll pick whichever looks best.  Both are open-pollinated heirloom varieties.

  • Instant salad – a combination of lettuces that look best each week. Potential candidates are summer crisps, romaines, and leafy lettuces.

  • Mustard greens

    $3.00 / bunch

Mustard greens are great for sauteing and braising.  We have a mix almost too pretty to eat. But definitely eat them!

  • These flavorful and pungent yellow cooking onions are just the thing for every recipe that starts with some chopped onion in a hot pan. Red onions also available. Reinforcements have arrived from Tangerini’s Farm.

  • Long, blocky frying peppers. Great roasted, grilled or chopped up in a salad. Order by the fruit. Mostly still green, but starting to color/sweeten up.

  • Peppers, Jalapenos

    $0.50 / each In stock

Give your dish a kick with a couple jalapenos

  • Peppers, Shishitos (pint)

$4.50 / each Only 3 left in stock

Mostly mild peppers great for blistering on the pan or grill. I say mostly because rumor has it one in ten are spicy! I’ve definitely had that “10th” spicy pepper a few times already though so it might be more than that.

  • Summer spinach, like a cross between chard and spinach. Not as tender as our spring and fall spinach, but just as tasty.

  • We’re taking a break from the rotting fugly tater heartbreak and moving on to some gorgeous red new potatoes.

  • Cute little red and white beauties are good in a salad, for snacking, or on a sandwich.  Or on buttered toast, for breakfast.  As if you were French. Seriously, it’s good.

  • Raspberries (half pints)

$6.00 / each Only 3 left in stock

It’s been a long road, but we finally have some fruit to share! Order more than one because the first one won’t make the drive home.

  • Scallions

    $3.00 / bunch In stock

Delicious heirloom scallions, different varieties throughout the year. The tops of these got hit pretty hard in the freeze, but the rest of the scallion is still delicious!

  • A spicy combination of tokyo bekana, tatsoi, mustard greens and arugula. Plus some salad turnip greens mixed in for fun.

  • Swiss chard

    $3.75 / bunch

If you’re not sure about swiss chard – sautee in butter, add minced fresh garlic and white whine, braise until it’s as tender as you like it.  You’ll be a convert.

  • Turnips, Salad

    $3.50 / bunch

Tokyo Market Turnips aka Salad Turnips aka Hakurei Turnips. Call them what you want, these are a light summer delight. Crisp, juicy, delicious – they go great cut up in salad, dipped in hummus, or just plain with a bit of salt. Or roast them, but they don’t need long! Sold by the bunch.
