Our goal at Potter Hill Farm is to create a robust agricultural ecosystem in which to raise nutritious vegetables and livestock in a manner that builds the fertility of the soil, adds vitality to the local community, and beautifies the landscape.
At Potter Hill, we have a 2-acre market garden in which we grow a mix of heirloom vegetables, flowers, and cover crops. We have a small herd of beef cattle, which we graze intensively over 25 acres of hillside pasture. We also raise pigs at the farm. They help us turn the compost pile while also consuming waste from the garden in addition to organic and non-GMO grain. While we are not certified organic, we do not use any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, antibiotics, or hormones.
