Pastured Pork

We feed our pigs certified non-GMO grain from Green Mountain Feeds in Vermont.  Our pigs are raised out on pasture where they are free to root and graze to supplement their grain.  They also get loads of produce from our vegetable garden.

We sell pork in bulk through our Pork CSA program.  We may also have individual frozen cuts for sale.  Please check The Market to see what is currently available.

Pork CSA

IMG_20140601_175700A pork share should include the following cuts, though there may be some variation: Bone-in Chops, Country-style Ribs, Spare Ribs, Pork Belly, Shoulder Roast, Pork Butt, Stew Bones, Fat Back, Leaf Lard, Hocks, and Trotters.  Sausage or Ham may be added for an additional cost.  Sausages are home-made using our own recipes.  Bellies may be cured to make bacon for an additional cost.

Our pork shares are equivalent to 1/2 of a pig, and they are sold by the pig’s hanging weight. We estimate that the hanging weight of a pork share will be approximately 80 – 100 lbs, and the actual packaged weight will be about 75% of the hanging weight. For example, your share might have a hanging weight of 85 lbs. You would receive about 60 lbs of meat to put in your freezer. We require a non-refundable $400 deposit when you reserve your share.

We are now taking deposits for 2015 CSA shares.  To download an order form, please check out our new farm’s website at shortcreeknh.com.
